The Green Bay Packers opened up their preseason on Saturday against the New York Jets, losing 30-10, but still gaining valuable reps for starters and backups alike. Quarterback Jordan Love was the first man under center, receiving minimal playing time.
In total, he completed just one of five passes for 7 yards and a 39.6 passer rating while getting sacked once for a loss of 3 yards.
Unfortunately, his availability for any more preseason games is now in question after suffering a thumb injury against the Jets.
Packers Update Love's Condition
While talking to the media on Tuesday, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst revealed that Love will be having a procedure on his left thumb, with hopes of the quarterback returning to practice next week.
