Packers releasing S Tarvarius Moore, CB Corey Ballentine

The Green Bay Packers are releasing a pair of veteran defensive backs on Tuesday. Per Bill Huber of SI.com, the Packers will cut safety Tarvarius Moore and cornerback Corey Ballentine during final roster cutdowns.

Moore was a free-agent addition in March. A third-round pick of the 49ers in 2018, Moore was running with the first-team defense at times in training camp before suffering a knee injury against the New England Patriots and then missing the preseason finale.

Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the Packers will waive Moore injured, meaning an injury settlement is required and Moore won’t be eligible to return on the practice squad.
