The Packers have released two more players as they pare down their roster ahead of training camp practices, cutting quarterback Jalen Morton and fullback Elijah Wellman.
Morton was an undrafted free agent out of Prairie View A&M. The fourth quarterback on the roster, his release comes just a few days after the Packers cut his A&M teammate Jordan Jones. With first-round pick Jordan Love and experienced backup Tim Boyle already on the roster, Morton’s path to the roster was essentially practice squad or bust, his claims of being able to throw a football 100 yards notwithstanding.
