The Packers have waived offensive lineman Cole Madison and fullback Jordan Jones, both of whom faced an uphill climb to make the roster after recent acquisitions.
Madison was a fifth-round pick out of Washington State University in the 2018 draft but sat out his entire rookie season working through some mental health-related issues. He returned to the Packers for the 2019 season and made the roster, but tore an ACL in practice in November. The Packers’ decision to draft three linemen this spring probably didn’t bode all that well for his roster prospects.
