Packers release former Georgia WR, 3-time Super Bowl champion

The Green Bay Packers are moving on from several Georgia Bulldogs after preseason action. The Packers already released former Georgia center Trey Hill. Now, Green Bay is releasing former Georgia wide receiver Mecole Hardman, who was on their roster bubble.

Hardman still has good speed and is just 27 years old, but he was unable to make the Packers' 53-man roster. Green Bay has a deep receiving room that lacks elite talent.

Hardman caught the Kansas City Chiefs' game-winning overtime touchdown in Super Bowl 58. He doesn't have another receiving touchdown since then.
