The Green Bay Packers released first-year defensive end Jeremiah Martin to make room for rookie receiver Sam Brown Jr., who was signed to the team's 90-man offseason roster on Thursday.
Martin, 25, signed to the Packers practice squad in December of last year. He was retained with a futures deal in January. An injury might have played a role in his release; Martin wasn't available to practice with the team during Wednesday's OTA session open to the media.
Martin went undrafted out of Washington in 2023. He spent time with the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants before signing with the Packers last year.
