Packers reach 1-year, $13.25 million extension with WR Christian Watson amid ACL recovery

Christian Watson’s contract uncertainty is now behind him.

Watson, who is currently recovering from a torn ACL, reached a one-year, $13.25 million contract extension with the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday night, his agent told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Watson had a career-high 620 yards and two touchdowns on 29 catches last season, his third with the Packers after they selected him with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of North Dakota State. He had a team-high 21.4 yards per catch, too.

Watson went down with a torn ACL in the team’s loss to the Chicago Bears in the final game of the regular season last year.
