Packers’ Quinten Rollins has hamstring injury, which will affect roster cuts

In a day already filled with difficult decisions for front office personnel, the Green Bay Packers’ brass will face a murky situation in light of Quinten Rollins’ reported hamstring injury.

The team’s former second-round pick had put himself in position for one of the final spots on the 53-man roster due in part to his potential versatility. Green Bay’s safety depth is cloudy and Rollins, who has almost exclusively played cornerback throughout his short Packers’ career, had shown potential versatility to find a role in that area this season. Despite a rocky, to say the least, experience as a punt returner in preseason action, Rollins was beginning to carve out a niche to make the final roster in the secondary as a filler of several positions when needed.
