Packers offensive assistant Butch Barry leaves for 49ers

The Green Bay Packers have lost senior analyst Butch Barry. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Barry is taking a new position with the San Francisco 49ers, working as their assistant offensive line coach.

Barry spent just one year in Green Bay, but was certainly very familiar with the franchise before he arrived, as he’s originally from Sturgeon Bay. He joined the Packers after spending a single season as the offensive line coach at the Florida version of the University of Miami. Prior to that, Barry was an assistant offensive line coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, spending four years in that role.
