Monday seemed to be a significant day in the Micah Parsons saga for the Dallas Cowboys, and maybe even for the Green Bay Packers. All of that depends on how you define the word significant, though.
To start the day, ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted that he does not believe it is likely that an extension is reached between Parsons and the Cowboys before Week 1. Keep in mind that the season opens 17 days from Monday.
17 days prior to Monday was when Micah publicly issued a trade request from the team. The Cowboys have stood firm in noting that they do not feel any desire to move their All-Pro pass rusher, but a few hours after Schefter’s note another top NFL insider dropped some breadcrumbs.
