Packers medical staff practices for nagging injuries as well as situations they hope to never face

ASHWAUBENON – A player was down on the field. The Green Bay Packers medical staff came running and immediately began stabilizing the athlete and assessing the situation.

It wasn't a real player or an actual injury, although the symptoms expressed were authentic, and the Packers medical staff behaved as if it was as genuine as on game day.

The NFL was in town Monday to assay the Packers' Emergency Action Plan, which has been required of all league members for a dozen years, but took on added significance after Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest in front of a "Monday Night Football" audience in January.
