Packers' Lyndahl property acquisition is its first foray into Green Bay proper

GREEN BAY – The acquisition of the Lyndahl Funeral Home property by the Green Bay Packers increases the team's real estate holdings to more than 76 acres and marks the first time it has purchased property in the city of Green Bay.

The Packers, under the name Lombardi Ridge Partners, bought two adjoining lots at 1350 Lombardi Ave. and 1866 St. Agnes Drive, for $2.65 million.

The property is north of Lombardi Avenue, across from Titletown District, on the northwest corner of Lombardi Avenue and South Ridge Road.

The Packers have no immediate need or plans for the property, said Aaron Popkey, the team's director of public affairs.
