GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Ron Wolf was standing outside the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library in Austin, Texas, on Monday when the man in front of him in line struck up a conversation.
The stranger didn’t recognize Wolf, the former Green Bay Packers general manager and recently minted Pro Football Hall of Famer, but he did recognize the throwback Acme Packers hat Wolf was wearing.
“The guy said, ‘Are you a Packers fan?’ I said, ‘Yes, I am,’” Wolf recounted in a phone conversation after he and wife Edie had finished the first of their three planned presidential library visits.
