The Green Bay Packers got a big boost in salary cap space this weekend, as the June 1st date came and went. That allowed the cap space for the release of linebacker De’Vondre Campbell to clear, opening up almost $10 million in cap room for the team.
That date came one month after another important deadline for the Packers: the one-year mark after Jordan Love signed his contract extension in early May of 2023. Love became eligible to sign a new deal after a year had elapsed on his previous contract, and both he and the Packers have been working on the structure of an extension throughout the offseason.
