Packers injury updates: Parsons practices in pads, Jenkins returns, Reed sits

The start of Wednesday's practice in Green Bay -- a padded practice for Matt LaFleur's team -- brought a mix of good and bad news for the Packers as they continue on-field work ahead of Sunday's season opener against the Detroit Lions.

First, the good news. Newcomer Micah Parsons was in pads and practicing, center Elgton Jenkins returned to practice and cornerback Nate Hobbs appeared to be ramping up while in the rehab group.

But there's the bad news: receiver Jayden Reed (foot) wasn't participating to start Wednesday, and Hobbs (knee) still isn't back on the practice field with only four days until the opener.
