Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported that the Packers are hiring Nathaniel Hackett to become the new offensive coordinator, a position previously held by Joe Philbin before he was promoted to interim head coach.
It was said last week that Hackett was in town to interview for a "top offensive job" on the Packers' staff, but there were no affirmative decisions made on the hire.
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken also interviewed for the same position with the Packers, however, he was signed to the Cleveland Browns' staff on Sunday. He was one of the candidates to replace Mike McCarthy as the team's head coach.
