The NFL is a business after all.
With just 53 roster spots on each of the 32 teams in the NFL, each of the 1,696 players that will be active on a roster at the start of the season are always looking over their shoulder in hopes of never making the dreaded walk to their head coach's office to find out they'll need to look elsewhere to live out their dreams.
While NFL head coaches are paid a pretty penny, delivering the news that a player will no longer be afforded the opportunity to be a professional football player is something no coach wants to do.
