Green Bay— Near the midway point of the third quarter in a win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, linebacker Clay Matthews shot through the middle of the offensive line on a blitz. He burst through the line of scrimmage and dragged quarterback Colin Kaepernick to the turf, completing the sack with a flex of his right biceps and a mimetic kiss.
The play by Matthews was one of six sacks in an emphatic 17-3 victory over the 49ers, which came on the heels of a seven-sack performance against the Kansas City Chiefs a week prior.
