The Green Bay Packers have said on three separate occasions this offseason that they wanted or expected to have a new deal with quarterback Aaron Rodgers soon. That has come from both general manager Brian Gutekunst and president Mark Murphy.
Murphy’s comments on Wednesday made it clear the Packers have no idea when this deal is getting done. And it certainly doesn’t appear the buzzword is still “soon.”
“I don’t want to put a time frame on it,” Murphy said, “but I’m confident we’ll work it out.”
Surely, the Packers will work it out.
