There has long been chatter about the Green Bay Packers hosting the NFL Draft. Team president Mark Murphy told shareholders the Packers have formally applied to host it in 2019, 2020 and 2021, on Thursday.
While we have long considered this a long shot, the Packers’ best chance could come in 2019. The NFL will surely be looking to help celebrate the team’s 100th anniversary in some fashion.
The draft has been held in Chicago the past two years, after a long run in New York. The event is rumored to be moving to Philadelphia next year and it is expected to keep moving.
