Packers get close look at defensive standouts in Buckeyes–Longhorns clash

The Green Bay Packers got a first-hand look at all the talent in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday when the Texas Longhorns tangled with the Ohio State Buckeyes. In what was a defensive struggle, there were plenty of prospects on that side of the ball that could have impressed the Packers’ contingent. According to Ryan Fowler, the Packers sent three different representatives to the Ohio State-Texas showdown.

Impressive first start

Jermaine Mathews Jr, a cornerback for the Buckeyes, looked good in his first career start. The former four-star recruit picked off Arch Manning and later had a pass deflection that nearly led to a Sonny Styles interception.
