Packers Expected To Sign Canadian QB After Strong Performance At Minicamp

Green Bay Packers' General Manager Brian Gutekunst has previously expressed a clear desire to strengthen the quarterback room. He believes it is essential to have a reliable and valuable backup on the roster and create competition that pushes every player to improve.

"Every year it's important to really put a lot of time into those guys, (to) identify them," Gutekunst said at the Scouting Combine. "It's a hard position to make it in this league."

Malik Willis will enter the final year of his rookie contract this year, and it was reasonable to expect Green Bay to draft a potential long-term backup for Jordan Love in the 2025 Draft.
