Packers exercising fifth-year option on DT Devonte Wyatt

The Green Bay Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, according to Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Wyatt, a first-round pick in 2022, is now under contract through the 2026 season and will receive a guaranteed salary of $12.9 million in that final year.

The move comes as no surprise following general manager Brian Gutekunst's recent comments about wanting to retain Wyatt and inside linebacker Quay Walker beyond their rookie deals.

"For both those guys, whatever mechanism we use, we'd like to keep those guys around for '26 and beyond," Gutekunst said.
