Packers DT Colby Wooden silences doubters with strong Week 1 performance

Leading up to Sunday's season opener against the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Colby Wooden heard all the chatter about how the Packers wouldn't be able to stop Detroit's running attack. The noise got so loud that his dad called Thursday with a simple message: "Do me a favor, shut them up."

Wooden did just that by delivering the best game of his NFL career, recording a career-high six tackles with two tackles for loss and a quarterback hit. Making only his second career start, Wooden helped hold the Lions' lethal running back duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery to 44 rushing yards on 20 attempts.
