Packers don’t make any moves in 2019 NFL Supplemental Draft

Despite having reported interest in Washington State safety Jalen Thompson, the Packers didn’t select him in the NFL Supplemental Draft, which took place on Wednesday.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Arizona Cardinals selected Thompson in the fifth round, which means they’ll give up a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft next April.

If the Packers had also hoped to select Thompson in the fifth round, they would’ve missed out as the Cardinals had a higher priority, as Pelissero noted earlier on Wednesday.

Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst had reported earlier in the week that the Packers had interest in Thompson.
