Packers cutting Romeo Doubs is possible if trade doesn't materialize in crowded WR depth chart

The Green Bay Packers have a lot of wide receivers.

Returners include Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks. And then they drafted Matthew Golden and Savion Williams.

Seems like somebody has to go, and it has been Doubs most often thrown into offseason trade rumors.

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox goes a step further, though. He writes that if Doubs isn't traded, he could be released.

"Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, who are both entering a contract year, are the two most logical candidates," Knox writes. "And while one could argue that Doubs has been the more reliable of the two, he's also set to carry the bigger 2025 cap hit.
