Tuesday was the Green Bay Packers’ third and final open practice of OTAs, and the first of those practices visible to the public since head coach Matt LaFleur tore his Achilles tendon playing basketball last week. That meant that fans got their first look at the coach leading practice from his golf cart, as he was zooming around the field and observing drills from afar following his surgery on Sunday.
One bit of good news for LaFleur is that it is his left Achilles tendon that was torn, which means that his right foot is free to operate the pedals on his golf cart (and presumably his own car as well, provided it is not a manual transmission).
