Packers claim John Lovett off waivers from Chiefs

While many teams are cutting players to prepare for the mandatory cut to 80 players, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst continues churn his roster and add pieces with potential to help his squad in 2020. (The Packers can keep 90 players on their roster until August 16th. The team must cut to 80 by the 16th, prior to the start of full practices.)

Per the league's transaction wire, the Packers claimed John Lovett off waivers from the Chiefs.

Lovett is listed as a QB on the wire. He showed promise as a hybrid player trying to fill an h-back/tight end role last summer prior to landing on IR pic.
