Packers claim fullback John Lovett on waivers from Chiefs

With one open roster spot on the team’s 90-man roster, the Green Bay Packers added a player to fill up at 90 on Thursday. Green Bay claimed John Lovett on waivers after the Kansas City Chiefs released him on Wednesday.

Lovett is primarily seen a fullback/H-back type in the NFL, but played quarterback in college at Princeton University. The Packers brought him in for a pre-draft visit in 2019, but he eventually signed with the Chiefs instead after the draft. He then spent all of last season on injured reserve with a separated shoulder.
