The Green Bay Packers claimed DE Shaneil Jenkins off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks and placed TE Beau Sandland on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Sunday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.
Jenkins (6-3, 295) was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Shepherd (W.Va.) University by the Denver Broncos on May 3, 2016. After being released by the Broncos on Aug. 3, 2016, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 7, 2016, but was released on Sept. 2, 2016.
