The Green Bay Packers had been deliberating a major decision throughout the offseason. Both the team and cornerback Jaire Alexander were working to agree on a contract that satisfied both sides. Alexander was seeking a significant payday, but the Packers were hesitant to commit a large sum due to his history of injuries.
"On the contract front, the Packers could want a revised deal that allows Alexander -- who has missed at least 10 games in three of the last four seasons -- to earn his full salary if he's healthy and available in 2025 but protects the team in case the injuries continue,” Packers Wire’s Zach Kruse wrote.
