Packers' Bo Melton gets roster update on cut day after conversion from wide receiver to cornerback originally appeared on The Sporting News
Bo Melton did it.
The news was met with relative uncertainty early in the offseason when it was announced that the Green Bay Packers' wide receiver would be converting to cornerback, a position he hadn't played at all since his very early college days at Rutgers.
But on Tuesday, Melton learned his fate. He made the Packers' 53-man roster, as a CB.
It's a huge development in Green Bay, which may have been looking at cornerback as its weakest unit compared to an already very strong WR group.
