Packers’ big free-agent signing has a back injury

Green Bay Packers preferred starting left guard Aaron Banks, who signed a $77 million contract with the team in free agency, dropped out of practice on Thursday with an apparent injury. In his pre-practice press conference on Friday, head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Banks is dealing with a back injury and will be day-to-day moving forward.

Beyond Banks is set to replace Elgton Jenkins, who moved from left guard to center this offseason. Unfortunately, Jenkins is also injured, dealing with a back injury of his own, and is currently on the non-football injury list. The non-football injury list designates that the player was injured outside of the facility.
