The Green Bay Packers are having trade talks regarding cornerback Jaire Alexander and are willing to trade the two-time All-Pro this offseason, according to reporting from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
At the very least, trade negotiations suggest the two sides have decided to move on and are using the NFL Scouting Combine to help facilitate a move. A trade -- instead of a release -- would ensure the Packers get some compensation in return.
Asked Tuesday if Alexander would be back with the Packers in 2025, general manager Brian Gutekunst responded with little more than "We'll see," providing another sign that Alexander's time in Green Bay was likely over.
