GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers and star running back Aaron Jones are reportedly working on a pay-cut deal to keep him with the team for this upcoming season.
Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the parties are trying to come to an agreement that would match Jones’s projected free agency pay and reduce his salary cap number.
According to Silverstein, if they are unable to come to an agreement over the next two weeks, Jones may be released by the Packers and given the chance to consider his choices in free agency.
