Niners 13 Packers 10: Game Balls & Lame Calls

Yeah, go ahead. Blame it on special teams. They deserve it. They were terrible as usual. But there’s plenty of blame to go around for Green Bay’s loss to the 49ers.

Even after the blocked punt fiasco, there was plenty of time for the Packers to win the game. Aaron Rodgers and the offense lost all poise, collapsed and imploded. Rodgers played his worst in the fourth quarter when he was needed most. The offensive line couldn’t block anybody. Any receiver not named Davante Adams was invisible.

The defense? They played their hearts out all night. But on the final drive, third and seven on the 38 yard line, 1:03 left to play, they watched Deebo Samuel run right through them for nine yards and a backbreaking first down.
