Two NFL stars showed they never forgot their roots and where it all started in Clarksdale.
Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl left guard Elgton Jenkins and New Orleans Saints safety and special teams standout Juantavius “JT” Gray, both 2014 Clarksdale High School graduates, signed footballs at Shivers Good Eats on North State Street in Clarksdale Monday night.
Talisa Shivers, owners of Shivers Good Eats, is Jenkins’ Godmother.
Approximately 25 footballs were available for both Gray and Jenkins to sign for young kids on a first come, first serve basis. They both signed each football with their name and NFL number.
