Although the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys always play on Thanksgiving Day, it feels like the Pittsburgh Steelers are a frequent participant in the NFL’s Turkey Day festivities. Indeed, the Steelers have played in the night game on Thanksgiving twice over the past seven seasons, and will do so for a third time in eight years with tonight’s game.
This year, Pittsburgh was scheduled to host a Turkey Day game at Heinz Field for the first time, after winning in Indianapolis in 2016 and losing in Baltimore in 2013. But instead of hosting the Baltimore Ravens in the night game this evening, that game has been postponed to Sunday due to several positive COVID tests for the Ravens.
