NFL news, cuts live updates: Cowboys, Packers shake up league with Micah Parsons megatrade

One week from Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles to kick off the NFL regular season.

They won't be doing it with arguably their best player. Now former best player.

The Cowboys traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark, one of the most seismic trades in recent NFL history. The Packers in turn are signing Parsons, the 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, a three-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler, to a reported four-year, $188 million deal with $136 million guaranteed.
