Murphy bids farewell as Packers president, Policy to step in at shareholder meeting

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Friday is the end of an era for longtime Green Bay Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy.

Before Murphy retires, he will hand the reigns over to Ed Policy during the annual Packers shareholder meeting at 3 p.m. at Lambeau Field.

Murphy has been the team’s president since 2007 and has one Super Bowl victory as an executive in 2011.

In honor of his last day on the job, Green Bay mayor Eric Genrich has proclaimed Friday, Mark Murphy Day in Green Bay.

“First and foremost, Mark has been a truly decent, humble, and thoughtful leader of the Green Bay Packers,” said Genrich.
