BOYS BASKETBALL
Zane Carter had 17 points and 12 rebounds, Darin Cole scored 16 points, Blue Sierra had 12 points, and Daniel Ortiz had 11 points to lead Buena (5-9) to a 61-54 victory over Paraclete on the first day of the Ventura Kiwanis Tournament.
Austin Maziasz scored 18 points, Marcus Lesser had 14 points, Kayden Elsokary had 10 points and River Ortiz added nine points to lead Westlake (11-2) to a 61-51 win over Camarillo at the Ventura Kiwanis Tournament.
