Mike McCarthy gave a sobering update on second year wide receiver Jared Abbrederis when he met with reporters this afternoon.
According to the head coach, Abby will miss "several weeks" due to the injury he suffered against the Lions.
While McCarthy didn't specifically say what the injury was, it has been widely reported that Abbrederis is dealing with injuries to his ribs.
It's a real shame to see the kid back on the shelf after finally looking like he was ready to contribute to an offense that is struggling mightly and in desperate need of a spark.
