GREEN BAY − Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander’s season is over.
Coach Matt LaFleur announced Wednesday that Alexander would undergo surgery on his right knee and be lost for the rest of the year.
“It’s unfortunate,” LaFleur said. “It is what it is. I feel for him, obviously trying to get his knee right. It wasn’t getting right. So, yeah, it’s just a tough deal for all of us.”
Alexander injured his knee against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8 and has played just 10 snaps since then. Alexander told The Athletic that he had injured the posterior cruciate ligament and a source confirmed that was the case.
