Matt LaFleur kept his cards close to his chest regarding Jordan Love's status for Week 17, but backup quarterback Malik Willis provided a more encouraging update.
Willis battled through a shoulder injury late in the loss to the Chicago Bears. After noting that he should be good to go on Saturday night, Willis provided an update on Love.
"He's good. He's chillin," Willis said, via The Athletic's Matt Schneidman.
Schneidman also noted that Love can't speak to reporters while he's in the concussion protocol, but "he was in locker room, on phone and said some words in passing.
