GREEN BAY - Several local nonprofits will get to share in the national spotlight during the Miami Dolphins-Green Bay Packers game on Thanksgiving night at Lambeau Field.

Twenty-nine Green Bay Packers players and five staff members will be showing off custom-made shoes for the NFL's My Cause My Cleats. The annual campaign is an opportunity for players to raise awareness for a nonprofit organization or a cause of their choosing by wearing specially designed cleats.

The organizations represented are from all over the country but among those close to home:

Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, a dog lover, is supporting Happily Every After Animal Sanctuary in Ashwaubenon and Marion with a design that includes paw prints and various canines.
