The Lions return to the primetime spotlight Thursday in their 84th Thanksgiving Day game, taking on the NFC North rival Green Bay Packers.
Head coach Dan Campbell has yet to secure a win on Turkey Day; in fact, Detroit hasn't won on Thanksgiving since 2016.
However, this iteration of the Lions is a bit different. The team is 8-2 for the first time since John F. Kennedy was president, propelling itself to the upper-echelon of the NFL after a stunning comeback win against the Chicago Bears last Sunday.
For more than three quarters, Detroit looked like a team intent on beating itself.
