Latest NFL coaching twist might quietly save Jeff Hafley for Packers

It has felt inevitable that the Green Bay Packers will lose Jeff Hafley to a head coach job this offseason, but there might be a glimmer of hope.

Rumors pointed to the New York Giants as the most likely destination, which made sense, given his connection to New Jersey. Now, though, that is far less clear, as the Giants could look elsewhere.

Ian O'Connor of The Athletic believes that Kevin Stefanski, whom the Cleveland Browns fired this week, is the "leader in the Giants clubhouse." And, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Stefanski is expected to speak with the Giants about the opening.
