Justin Jefferson will not play the Packers in Week 8

On Tuesday morning, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Minnesota Vikings will be placing Pro Bowl receiver Justin Jefferson on the injured reserve, which will cost him at least the next four weeks of action. Jefferson injured his hamstring in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

As Pelissero noted, there is no real timetable with a hamstring injury, as the Vikings will simply adjust their expectations as Jefferson’s recovery progresses.

If there’s any group of people who you don’t need to explain the finicky world of hamstring injuries to, it’s Green Bay Packers fans.
