Jordan Love admitted it was "tough" to see the Green Bay Packers release cornerback Jaire Alexander, a move that arrived Monday after an offseason full of speculation on whether the two-time All-Pro would return or move on in 2025.
While Love publicly campaigned for Alexander to return to the Packers in April, the team made the decision to release the veteran cornerback before mandatory minicamp.
"It's a tough one. Really tough losing a player of Jaire's caliber," Love said Tuesday. "Someone that has been here since I've gotten here, someone I was very close with.
