The MVP is a bit of a flawed award in the NFL. It's not been won by a non-quarterback since 2012 when Adrian Peterson won. It's turned into the 'best quarterback' award, but even that sometimes isn't accurate.
In 2024, Lamar Jackson was obviously the best QB in the NFL, but he lost the award to Josh Allen. What the MVP has truly become is the starting quarterback on the best regular-season team. That might seem like a mouthful, but it's the truth. Fortunately, though, for the Green Bay Packers, that appears to be what this team is trending toward.
